Center on Halsted

Center on Halsted offers a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to support the health, wellness, and cultural enrichment of the LGBTQ community in Chicago, IL and throughout Chicagoland. Located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, the organization provides more than 1,000 community members daily access to diverse programming that addresses both recreational and essential health needs. The Center's service offerings span recreational activities including volleyball and dance performances, wellness and health services such as rapid HIV testing and group therapy, educational opportunities including cooking classes, and career development through vocational training programs. Beyond direct services, Center on Halsted actively partners with organizations across Chicago and the nation to expand programming and community impact. The organization also serves as an incubator for smaller LGBTQ non-profit organizations through its Resident Partners program, providing operational support, physical space, and resources to help emerging organizations develop and thrive.
