OutLaw at Loyola

OutLaw at Loyola University Chicago School of Law serves as a dedicated advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer law students, faculty members, and their allies. Established in Fall 2006, OutLaw has developed into a cornerstone student organization within the Chicago, IL legal education community, providing comprehensive support and representation for LGBTQIA+ individuals pursuing legal careers.

The organization operates with a structured leadership team committed to fostering inclusion and advancing LGBTQ+ rights within the legal profession. OutLaw's mission encompasses creating a welcoming environment for all LGBTQIA+ law students and faculty while simultaneously advocating for issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community both within the law school and throughout the broader legal sector. The organization facilitates connections between law students and prominent LGBTQ+ legal organizations, including the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, Lambda Legal Defense, and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and Foundation.

As part of Loyola University Chicago's vibrant student life ecosystem, OutLaw maintains active engagement with regional law school organizations and national LGBTQ+ legal networks.
