About PFLAG Cape Cod
Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is the nation's largest organization of its kind committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG has 400 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by PFLAG National, located in Washington, D.C. PFLAG is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any religious or political institutions.
Family support and acceptance is critical to the health and well-being of people who are LGBTQ+, and PFLAG has been at the forefront of this work for over four decades. At our meetings, people find the support and resources they need to move along the process of understanding, accepting and supporting their LGBTQ+ loved one.
PFLAG is working to make sure that all people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer are not only valued by society, but take pride in and value themselves. People who are LGBTQ+ and their families deserve to be safe and secure, no matter where they live, work, study, pray or play. We do this through providing peer-to-peer support, educating people on the issues that are important to the community, and advocating for inclusive policies and laws.
