About PFLAG Hanover - Madison

PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians And Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

The PFLAG Hanover/Madison chapter was established in 2012 as a branch of the PFLAG National organization that was founded in 1973. We are based in Jefferson County, IN and serve southeastern Indiana as well as nearby counties in Kentucky. One of our main goals is to keep families together. To facilitate this goal, we provide a safe place for ALL members to share their feelings and experiences with others who have been down the same road.

PFLAG Hanover/Madison is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is run entirely by volunteers with a desire to help build a more loving and accepting community for everyone!
