PFLAG Hickory

PFLAG Hickory provides comprehensive support and advocacy services for LGBTQ+ individuals, their parents, families, and allies throughout the Hickory, NC region and surrounding communities. As part of the nation's first and largest organization dedicated to this mission, PFLAG Hickory serves residents across Lenoir, Newton, Conover, Statesville, Granite Falls, Lincolnton, and neighboring areas with evidence-based resources and community programming.

The organization facilitates regular meetings and support groups designed to foster connection, understanding, and mutual aid among members of all backgrounds. PFLAG Hickory specializes in creating safe spaces where families can process their experiences, access educational materials about sexual orientation and gender identity, and build networks of support with others on similar journeys. Members gain access to vetted resources covering topics from coming out and family dynamics to advocacy strategies and community engagement.

Beyond direct support services, PFLAG Hickory works to educate the broader Hickory community about LGBTQ+ issues and experiences.
