About PFLAG Leonardtown
PFLAG Leonardtown is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer organization created by and for the LGBTQIA+ individuals, our families, friends and allies across Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties.
Our mission is to:
1. Support LGBTQ+ families through monthly peer-to-peer groups and social events. Be sure to check out our meetings & events pages for upcoming peer-to-peer and event dates!
2. Educate the Southern Maryland community on LGBTQ+ issues through educational events, collaboration with local institutions, and our presence at local events.
3. Advocate for inclusive policies and practices in our local government, businesses, healthcare, and educational institutions.
PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. This vast grassroots network consists of nearly 400 chapters and 250,000 members and supporters across America.
PFLAG Leonardtown was established in 2018 and continues to be run entirely by dedicated volunteers. We serve all of Southern Maryland, including St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert counties. PFLAG Leonardtown is committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed.
