About PFLAG Lexington, NC

We are a non profit serving Davidson County. We are not affiliated with any religious or political institution. Our goal is to represent the entire community and we are composed from the diversity of the community. We support, educate, and advocate as parents and friends of lesbian and gay members of our community. You will find we are moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and allies. Our members are straight, gay, bisexual and transgender. We are family! We are community!

We endeavor to grow our community beyond false and harmful stereotypes into an educated community dedicated to equality for all people. We offer a safe and loving environment for everyone in our community and work to reduce and eliminate marginalization and discrimination of LGBTQ people. Education is a vast part of our chapter mission as we work with families and community at large to understand sexual orientation, gender identity and LGBTQ issues.
