About PFLAG Tyler - East Texas
PFLAG Tyler (East Texas) was established in 1996 and is part of the PFLAG national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 350 affiliates in the United States. Made up of parents, families, friends, and straight allies uniting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education and advocacy. We have a private group East Texas PFLAG for specific meeting announcements, discussion, etc.
PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ+ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.
