About The LGBTQ Center of Bay County

The LGBTQ+ Center of Bay County is operated by volunteers, non-profit, funded through donation and changing lives every day. Our volunteers have cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBTQ+ individuals and families in Bay County and beyond.

The Board of Directors is committed to building the Center into an organization that offers programs, services, and advocacy that span six broad categories: Support Services, Building Community, Resource and Referral Services, Community Outreach, Scholarship and Advocacy.

Despite our small size we are determined to meet the growing demand for our services. The Board will insure that the Center remains a lean, fiscally disciplined and socially responsible organization. We are an unstoppable force in the fight for equality and the fight against bigotry. We envision a world where all lives are valued and affirmed regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

The mission of the LGBTQ Center of Bay County is to enhance and sustain the health and well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning population of Bay County by providing activities, programs and services that create community; empower community members; provide essential resources; advocate for civil and human rights; and embrace, promote and support LGBTQ cultural diversity. The LGBTQ Center of Bay County Inc. currently operates the only dedicated all-inclusive lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and straight-allied (LGBTQ+) youth program in the Panhandle of Florida.
