Washington County Gay Straight Alliance, Inc. is a comprehensive resource center dedicated to serving the LGBTQA+ community throughout Washington, PA and Southwestern Pennsylvania. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, WCGSA provides extensive social opportunities, peer support groups, and access to culturally competent services designed to meet the diverse needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, questioning, queer, asexual, and allied individuals. The organization operates a welcoming CENTER with expanded programming featuring over 130 days of annual activities tailored for all ages, from youth through seniors. Services include peer group facilitation, monthly social gatherings, trans-specific support groups, senior programs, and connections to vital health, legal, emergency, education, and parenting resources. WCGSA's programming emphasizes empowerment, helping individuals understand their rights and protections while building connected communities throughout the region. The organization maintains a confidential, safe environment where individuals are welcomed regardless of sex, race, disability, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. With drop-in hours on the 3rd and 4th Thursdays and every Sunday, WCGSA continues to evolve to address the growing needs of the LGBTQA+ population in Washington County and surrounding areas, offering both companionship and access to essential community services.
